After searching until dark for the ram, we gave up and returned early the next morning. We located its track and trailed it through open country for 1/2 mile. The trail lead us into some thick brush down a rocky hill where we lost its track. Debating what to do next, we decided to split in opposite directions and start a sight search. It began to feel a little hopeless when Old Dixie found deep it a cedar thicket. Kyle said it was big but we couldn't believe the size of the animal and its massive horns.
